Materials which are generally considered as not or only difficult to weld can often be welded with the EB. At some of the materials (e.g. Titanium) the process vacuum is essential to ensure the quality. With other materials the available high beam power is the key to success. Other welding processes do not really work in case of copper because of its high thermal conductivity or because of the aluminium oxide – in case of EB this is no problem at all.
